because he wanted a language that was convenient for quick and dirty tasks
Worked at Google from 2005 to 2012
Since 2013, he has been working on a static type analyzer for Python at Dropbox

Won the Award for the Advancement of Free Software
Received a NLUUG Award in 2003
Was made a part of the Computer History Museum in 2018
Was given the title of Dijkstra Fellow by CWI in 2019
